Description

Immerse yourself in nature and learn about Roatan's pirate past in this family-friendly mangrove tour; where you'll visit small fishing villages, navigate a dense mangrove forest, birdwatch in the jungle and enjoy the local cuisine. All under the guidance of a knowledgeable bilingual tour guide.

The Roatan mangrove tour starts as you're picked up from your hotel or cruise terminal and driven on a private van to Roatan's south side, where the French Harbor is located. There, you will learn about the island's story and local legends as you travel from fishing village to fishing village as you make your way to Oak Ridge, a large fishing village that used to provide oak for pirate and merchant ships back in the 1700's.

From there, you'll board a boat that will take you through the dense mangrove forests, which are widely considered one of Roatan's natural highlights. There, you'll be able to sightsee and birdwatch as you make your way to The Happy Landing Restaurant, a destination accessible only by boat famous for its delicious seafood.

After eating, you'll sail to Punta Gorda, where you'll be able to buy souvenirs and refreshments before heading back to your hotel or cruise terminal.
